In the next few days (or weeks who knows) I will be writing a series of posts featuring blogs which you probably do not know about, or have read. I love finding fresh new content to add to my RSS feed, however, there is quite a bit of content out there and sometimes really great blogs get over looked through all the clutter. So hopefully this series will shed some light on a few blogs which have been been shrouded in darkness for far too long.
As a note, these blogs will probably not share too much in common and I will try to find content that ranges in topics, however, many have a sort of technology thread which will string through out several of the blogs posted in this series.
Blog: 5thirtyone.com
Never before has “a semi-coherent receptacle” for one man’s self proclaimed ramblings been such a pleasure to read. Derek Punsalan’s blog offers one of the best designs I have seen as of late. The site is easy to navigate and provides just the right balance of content saturation vs. minimalism.
Speaking of content 5thirtyone delivers some of the most powerful writing in the blogosphere to date. Most posts center around technological issues, however Punsalan provides rich content over several different areas.
Having issues with wordpress? 5thirtyone has several tips and tricks which will really perk up your blog. WordPress not your thing? Well this site truly has something for everyone. Not to mention Punsalan is an Apple fan boy and has several enlightening posts about the subject. His “Breathe new life” series is an eye opener for any mac user who is wanting more from their basic mac apps. Furthermore, 5thirtyone boasts content about productivity, entertainment, and design. Certainly, this blog is a diamond in the rough. Also, this blog resides within progressive 9rules network and ranks very highly.
This blog is refreshingly interesting and a new go-to blog on my RSS feed. The advice and reviews given are 100% on par. Checking around and following up on the leads provided in this blog turns about so much fruitful gain. At this point I am following suit on all of the blog’s recommendations and it hasn’t steered me wrong yet. If you are not reading this blog then you are missing out.

Hey Jon-Michael, thanks for the mention. Your analysis of my content and topic coverage is inspiring. Flattered that you would dig into the archvies enough to make a general summary of what I publish on my site. Kudos again, and great job on your writing. I’ve subscribed and look forward to your other unheard / unknown blog discoveries.

I’ve been subbed to Derek’s site for a while. You’re review is spot on.
