Blog: Hyalineskies

His name is Bond, Eston Bond, and no he is not a double-o agent. Actually Bond, a 20 something near college grad, is well beyond his class not only at the University of Michigan where he attends school, but in the blogging realm as well. His blog HyalineSkies is a weekly “publication” which includes information segmented into three interesting levels in a unique categorization method. But more about that later.

First, a bit about the designer. Just by looking at Bond’s site one can tell that this guy has talent. However, if that is not enough for you Bond has a list of impressive credentials including published articles for O’Reilly Media, design work with Organic, Inc., and was formally in the newspaper business acting as online editor for the Michigan Daily. As of late Bond and his site has received a good deal of attention due to its coverage of the Moleskin GTD system, a Bond original.

The wealth of early experience Eston has gained now trickles into his blog. The design of the site itself is gorgeous. Honestly, if you take a look you will envy his layout like no other blog before. HyalineSkies is a mix between has a typical “web 2.0″ style and old school wordpress simplicity. However, the most ingenious aspect of HyalineSkies, as mentioned briefly above, its means of delivering content in the Grid Lock style.

The blog is divided into three sections; pilot training, economy class, and first class. Each section has content on subject similarly relating to the group’s name. For instance “Pilot Training” includes posts about web design and tech related tutorials. Whereas, the “First Class” offers posts on information theory and internet culture. Additionally, “Economy Class” is Bond’s personal thoughts, which, by the way, provides interesting insight about Bond.

The posts on this site are great and have been a real help to me as a beginning blogger. Also, the links and products mentioned are all very decent which makes this site great for digging up interesting bits of info otherwise unknown. At the very least Bond provides insight into tech related issues which is lacking in other blogs and from other professionals.
Furthermore, HyalineSkies is another blog from the 9Rules netowrk like Derek Punsalan’s 5ThrtyOne, the first blog in this series.

This site is simply stunning. Truthfully you have to see it for yourself to realize the overall beauty and relevance of this blog. Its seems at this point I cannot say anymore without sort of giving something away, you really just need to see for yourself. HyalineSkies is defiantly a blog you might not be reading but should.

Also, for another example of Bond’s unique style check out his MySpace profile.

For more blogs that you should be reading check out this post. Also return tomorrow for part 3 of the series when I showcase a blog from way down under, Australia.
