A Really Simply Need

November 19, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Currently I am using Google for my RSS needs (not to mention my blogging needs, e-mail needs, search needs, etc), but I am in the market for new RSS software so I fugured I would ask the online community.

For those of you who are unaware, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, among other names. For me this has been a godsend. I am able to keep up with all the current posts from my favorite blogs and see what people have to say on a day to day basis.

However, everywhere I look I see people refering different RSS Feed software which leads me to believe that there is something better out there than what Google has to offer.

That being the case here is a list of my specifications:

-Must be Intel Mac compatible
-Must be easy to use
-FREE would be best, but I will spend up to $20 for a great app.

So what do you suggest?

In other news, Bill O”Reilly hates people who use technology (that means YOU). If you own an iPod, play playstation, or use any kind of technology then ol’ Bill thinks you are screwing this nation over. Go to www.gamepolitics.com for the whole story.

Also…

In other news an Apple designed was honored by the Queen of England. This might just be me, but I doubt that Microsoft designers can boast the same honors? Jab!

Love Makes Me Vomit

November 2, 2006 · 1 Comment

Alright, so the following is a depiction of love that is slightly adapted from the modernist work of Iris Murdock, The Black Prince.

“Love is a curious experience, entierly sui generis. It is involuntary in a percuilarly shocking way, the body suddenly doing something very unusual with reat romptness and decision. One cannot argue. One is seized.”

Now, that sounds like a pretty good defination of love, right? Well this is not exactly what Murdock wrote in her novel. The real quote is a lot funnier because she compares vomiting to love. Odd.

Vomiting is a curious experience, entierly sui generis. It is involuntary in a percuilarly shocking way, the body suddenly doing something very unusual with reat romptness and decision. One cannot argue. One is seized.”

I hope you all though that was as funny as I did in class.
